    Pac boots

I've used regular gaiters and my 10" waterproof insulated (leather) boots to walk in snow up to my knees. If the drifts are higher than your knees, chaps will shed the snow but you won't be able to walk far anyway in that deep stuff. Unless it is very wet and slushy (not likely in the Dakotas)...

    Newbie here from Ojai

Welcome Californio. Do you have any experience hunting? What are you hunting with? I assume you've taken your HE and have a license. You'll need a pig tag. Read carefully over the sticky threads in the Newbie Den, and then come back with specific questions. You can search on old threads too, in...

    Lightweight tripod/spotting scope

Great info and things to consider in this thread, so I'm reviving it. Since the last post, the head on my Slik tripod broke and couldn't be replaced, so I bought a used Manfrotto tripod and head for spotting. I like it a lot. It's not light by any means, but it is rock-solid, quiet and easy to...

    NWTF Spring Turkey Tune-Up 2017

I was sorry to miss the event, but had a chance to join Mark (center mass) on a SHARE program hunt at Rush Ranch on Grizzly Island. Report will follow in another thread. Glad the event was successful, and was bummed to miss Gen's calling as well as the patterning. That's a great addition to the...

    2017 AZ OTC

Awesome idea. Wish I had thought of it. I've seen "artificial brush" camo that fits over the riser, but never a 2D decoy. Brilliant. I want to buy stock! [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fed EX better back this guy

Easy there, big fella. I'm just pointing out that it was the conservative members of the court, Scalia in particular, who protected money for political action. See link: https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/03/fix-money-in-politics/473214/ But I have to say it's a little funny to...

Awesome job Danny! Is that a decoy, or one of those small "blinds" that attaches to your bow riser? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fed EX better back this guy

I hate to see anyone desecrate the flag, and I applaud that guy for doing the decent and courageous thing (without anyone resorting to violence on either side). But money for political activities is considered free speech by SCOTUS. Newt Gingrich applauded their most recent ruling on it, as I...
