    Hunter mauled in SBDO/RVSD

Steve, you're right, they just changed it in April this year. Big game OK to carry, Deer, no. https://www.nraila.org/articles/20180424/california-fish-and-game-commission-to-allow-archery-hunters-to-carry-firearms-following-nra-and-crpa-petition

    Hunter mauled in SBDO/RVSD

I'm sure things would have ended better if California allowed side arms during Archery season.

    TURKEYS

Finally saw a couple small poults with a young Jenny. Sorry for the poor cell photo. The poults are only 6" tall, one is just behind the Jenny.

Why Are We Losing Our Deer?

OK then. We CAN shoot a Bengal tiger. Or does California protect Urban Legends as well. Which obviously begs the question, can we take Bigfoot with a bow?

    D16 Archery around the corner

I will be taking my bow out this deer season in D16. If one comes within 30 yds, I'll take him. If not, it's a great way to get more scouting in before rifle season. Win,win.

    Vortex diamondback 12x50 binos

Take you 10x42s to the store and compare the 'detail' views with whatever, out the front door at 200 yards. Don't rush to buy, if you don't see a 'clear' improvement.

    Learning the ropes

Welcome, and the Razor that you are looking at would be perfect. IMHO Get a sturdy tripod as well. You will spend more time glassing than walking.
