A new guys journey to find a 2022 hunting spot: Intro and Volume 1

I think even Larry said they suck... and he green lit his son to drop a coot. Told him not to let his dad make him eat that crap. I remember way back when there was that guy that would make jerky out of them supposedly, PCH, lol.

A new guys journey to find a 2022 hunting spot: Intro and Volume 1

Buy boots from somebody that has a very good return policy is all I will say. Everybody's feet are different what's great for one person may be horrible for another. I've found that I must have a crappy shaped foot because it's hard to find ones I like.

Weekdays off are better for hunting to be honest.

    Land Corner Crossing

Most private that has any worthwhile larger game is posted I've found. It's the condemned burnout drug lab with pigeons sort of stuff nobody cares about.

    Land Corner Crossing

I don't like it when a state is like that. It's really not that much to ask a property owner to put up some signs in most situations.

    Ebike + weapon. Motorized vehicle?

Wilderness rules are stupid and antiquated. A wheel barrow would be against the rules. They need to rework some of the rules to allow maintenance in some of these places.

    Ebike + weapon. Motorized vehicle?

Depends on the type of ebike and the area. Class 1 ebikes (pedal assist only up to 20mph) are starting to be allowed many places and even areas that they are not officially allowed yet most people turn a blind eye and don't care because they don't really look much different than a normal MTB at...

    Wister - Saturday 12/11

I was thinking of going that weekend. I'm a newb to duck hunting, only been to wister once but I did scout out 2 dozen blind spots last I was there so only went in blind once so to speak.

    Ammo shortage

I checked the sportsmans in Henderson while I was there for TG. They had a grand total of zero for 12g. Oh and they made me put back most the .22 LR I tried to take off with... some crap about a 2 box limit and I'm not allowed to have it all. Sounds like some liberal came up with that one!

Where to buy fed duck stamps?

Neither the Post Office or Big 5 near me had them. I had to have a friend pick one up for me.

    Ammo shortage

Seriously all they are doing is cranking out 9mm and 556 for all the stupid mall ninjas that never even shoot the stuff for the most part I bet.

    Back yard bucks

The most recent map I saw was that terrible one from the early 90's. The detail on it was so bad if the lines did not directly follow a road you really had a hard time knowing what was OK and what wasn't. And even some no shoots followed say Lake Hughes Road... which was unclear. I had no idea...

    Back yard bucks

I'm still unclear if it's ok to archery hunt the top half of Haines over there. I see them all the time when we MTB the jump trail over there, I know the bottom portion is city prop and a no go.

    Ammo shortage

The status of hunting shotgun ammo is more of a joke than ever it seems. I can't even find any in stock online so sending stuff to an FFL isn't even an option. Are they even making any? I could probably reload primers out of matchheads and 3d print wads and handload shells faster than they are...

    Wister - Saturday 12/11

Ha he wasn't in it then. I think he might of taken it off part way though and just used a headcover later. May go down there again this weekend kind of want to try for quail of pheasant on Sat.
