I hunted it in the past and it was great but we stopped about 10 years ago. We started hunting in AZ and hunt east of Yuma now where there are more birds and less hunters

Looks like you had a great hunt! What zone was that you were hunting in and how many years did it take to draw for....

I always get my limit on the opener with 3/4 of a box or so. One of the funny lines I use in the field when dove hunting is "Anyone want to see what a limit of dove looks like?" Its all in fun and only directed towards my Bro's since I am usually limited out in a few minutes first.

Ground dove are a lot smaller and you should have no problem with identification.
