Congrats I LOVE catching smallmouths. They have so much fight in them. If you ever get the catch to fish the Great Lakes, probably some of the best small mouth fishing.

Redfield Revolution 3-9x40 It is an American made scope produced by Leupold and carries a Leupold warranty. Right around 200 bucks will get one with or without BDC reticle.

I would look very hard at the Beretta A300, it is an American made beretta. A really solid gun, the synthetic and wood versions are under $1000 and the xtrema version is over 1000. Fine Firearms has them in stock

Drones are awesome. never used them for scouting furry animals but I do have some experience with them. I imagine they will be outlawed for the use of scouting soon in most states. I have seen some good B roll on hunting shows recently with them.
