My boys invited me to their club. Hunted with Josh. Matt hunted a different blind with their 8 month old lab and was done at 8 we finished at 1130 and teamed up for the trifecta.

I have 2 dogs from her both very good retriever’s we trained ourselves. Both have great noses mine is on her 4 thseason the puppy is 8 months and had a 20 bird day and an 11 bird day this year so far. Neither are finished by any means but meat dogs they are great. My dog could not find 3 birds...

Boys 9 month old is getting it done. They’ve done the training themselves. Is she polished? No but getting it done on her first refuge hunt.

Gundoglover is spot on about setting it to the lowest setting that they can feel it and then not changing it without a good reason.

I’ve been fortunate that I primarily use just the buzz only needed to use the shock a couple of times. Once when she was chasing a coyote on a dove hunt and a couple times when she blew past a bird and the buzz wasn’t getting her attention

I’m watching these as I write this. There is a lot of interesting information on both I’ve watched so far. It’s way better than a lot of other crap on TV. I found out a lot of things about CWA I didn’t know. We need to support these guys they are doing a lot.

Having dinner at the club last night the 3 of us and the two dogs had a visitor. 3 and a half feet 12-13 rattles it was 8 feet behind us under the stairs. I heard it the other 2 didn’t until I said something. Full coil rattling away. Both dogs had been snake trained they did not want anything...

Great seeing you Sunday AM Steve and Otto (that’s a great kid)...We left at 10 with 11 for three of us...For your notes, saw a fair amount of Mallards where we went. Only shot one, but they were around that cell.
