Might be a good time to chase other upland species to knock off the bucket list? I think Chukar numbers have literally doubled. Quail? Others? Maybe @ilovesprig knows.
The guys above covered it well. It's somewhat like us having spring and fall deer season where you could also shoot does.
Up north? I'd say have at it, they generally have better populations of deer and turkey.

Any idea why they were on the moonscape and not the basins? Plenty of water so they were targeting a type of feed or north facing slope?
That's an interesting way of seeing it. I always thought of muzzloaders as a limited weapon so the restrictions around them are there to limit the ever increasing effectiveness. Seeing 500+ yard muzzloaders that are fast reloading goes completely away from the intent of them and that season in...
