Oh how I miss Lassen County!

Any tips, tricks, or gear recommendations for packing fish back to the truck after a day of hiking/fishing mountain lakes/creeks? Or do you just keep what you can eat onsite?

My second oldest son drew J11 this year. I have never hunted the zone (D14) and will likely only be able to make 1 scouting trip down there. Any helpful tips or areas that might look good on a map that we should cross off our list?

Thanks for the info! Seems like a great option (or something similar) for the .243 I have sitting in the safe right now. I've been kicking around how to best set it up for deer season.

What is the range on a setup like that? I haven't dabbled much in the red dot world, and my understanding was that they were for short ranges?
