What a monster! Great work. Sounds like a fun adventure. I’ll bet you’ll figure out how to fit in more fishing this year now that the fire has been restoked!
It raises the old question of whether the presence of so many predators is good, because it means the prey population is very healthy, or bad because it means the predators are eating all the game. In a prefect world I like seeing lots of both. More targets to shoot at.
Sounds like you’re fully involved in the sport already but if you like chasing smaller critters too check out the Imperial Valley. The annual sept 1 dove opener is coming up, plus quail, rabbit, ducks, varmints in abundance.
A friend is breeding his male black lab with a female owned by a Salton Sea/Henshaw guide. I don’t think either hangs out on SCH but my buddy asked if I knew of any potential buyers. Both dogs are strong hunters. If interested, PM me and I’ll connect you.
Fake news. Plenty of dove if you mean the Imperial Valley. Specifically “at the Salton Sea” I can’t say. Go down and scout around the day before opener and you should find birds.
I can’t believe Hodge Road is still open. I quit going there after getting home with a flat tire and paying the shop to remove a 308 casing from my tire. That place might as well just become a landfill. No amount of the good guys bringing home a bag of trash will make difference.
