I plan to, last spring I got shafted. Was covered in hens all spring and only had one encounter with a tom. I also had a big time poison oak problem the first week or two of the season.
Not necessarily a turkey specific vest but this spring I’m going to run my Chief Upland vest. Plenty of room for decoys and very easy to customize for upland, deer or turkey. Or room to stuff layers/ other gear.

Got my first lever gun. Henry .357 and I’m considering an optic. Maybe red dot or 1-6 power scope. I plan on hunting with this around southern CA and even bring it out to hunt Missouri in thicker timber and ag field edges.
Would y’all recommend going with an optic or just sticking with iron...
I’m not sure what it is, but my feet are always freezing while sitting in a tree or on the ground for turkey. I love my Lowa Renegades but I have also been on the hunt for a warm boot. Let us know how you like the Crispi boots.

One more thing - you are in control of the trajectory (distance) you’ll be shooting. Heavy arrows carry more momentum (and force) over distance than light arrows. If you sight in your bow, you can shoot heavier arrows as far as you feel comfortable. Kinetic energy is not momentum or force.
I’m at 300 spine, 55g insert, 200g single bevel broadhead- 563g total arrow weight with 22% FOC.
