I received a CDFG update that states upcoming camping draws will be online but still no decision on whether they will be open or closed. There were several refuges and wildlife areas mentioned but the only one that had a link to the draw was Mendota.

Agree things are definitely changing. Where we hunt there is no lack of food or water and there is no shortage of birds. We have birds over us constantly but very few respond to decoys. IMO these birds are over hunted
I find these numbers in the article to be a little off? Sea is losing 1.3 million acre feet per year due to evaporation. Sea hold 7.5 millian acre feet. Based on those numbers the sea would be dry in 6 years
Matt I have so many great memories of Wister and Tule lake. Used to take our ducks and geese into the Mallard at Tule lake for cleaning. I think we paid 1.5-0 or 2.00. Trudy and her mother don't remember her name ran the place. we would always pickup a case of horse radish that they sold there...
