Follow what “bohdi” provided. I stopped by Thursday mid day after quail hunting with my spotting scope and binos and saw a ton of ducks (several varieties). But it was sunny with no wind. Would have been a frustrating day there. Good luck.
Great shooting Utahduckhanter and a nice couple of male VQ. Those grey ghosts are like small rockets. The ground cover doesn’t look like southern California so assuming that is in Utah? If so, how are the quail populations there? And if you don’t mind, what general part of the state are you...

Went out today with a buddy. Weather was sunny with cool temps in the morning and probably low 60s by late morning. We had several missed shots between the two of us on VQ but managed to harvest a couple. Didn’t see any dove today.
Thanks Duckhunter...and couldn't agree more about spending quality time with my dad. He just started going hunting with me a few years ago and loves it. Today, he bagged his 2 dove with just 1 shell using a 20g and was ecstatic!
Took dad out this morning in San Diego county. Conditions were great with light cloud cover. Dad was very happy, shot well, and harvested a couple of varieties. More quail out there than I've seen in many years.
