Tried a change a pace today with my friend Matt...Pleasantly surprised at the really, really good largemouth bite...No stripers, but the big girls made up for it................ :clap:

Fished "The Shaw" early yesterday...Good flipping bite overall...To end the morning, I hook a big girl...She takes me around a tree, heads for deeper water, and I tried to stay with her...I trip on a big rock under water and deep six I go...As I'm floundering around, my rod hit the tree sideways...

High 120's, low 130's.....This buck was 148............................ ;)

Well, the the lake level is dropping fast and the bass bite is coming to an end...The lake wasn't nearly as high as the last couple of years...So, the window for the shad spawn, flipping bite, and blade bite was pretty short...We still did pretty darn good for awhile............. :blush...

Get a load of this buck that was hit by a car here in the "16"...Probably would've never been taken away, but always sad to see such an old bruiser die by vehicle.................... :confused:
