2018 Idaho Hunt

This was my 2nd year going to Idaho and it did not disappoint! I would definitely recommend Idaho as a place to go hunt out of state with fairly reasonably priced OTC tags and great scenery. Not a bad place to take the family either. Here’s a few pics from this year. Now on to attempting to bag a SD deer!

Nice Job. I second Idaho. Just got back Sunday from 2-week trip.

Had two close encounters. One with a nice cow at 85 yds...couldn't get closer. Second was with a BIG 6x7 at 35yds. He was paralleling me into the wind, in the thick timber. I just started to draw when he crossed my only shooting lane and was gone...

PM me if you're looking for a partner next year. I made two solo 6 day forays up to 8,500. Moose and Deer all over but the elk didn't start talking until the last three days. Got a nice picture on the game camera pic of the bull I think I encountered.

That’s a good looking bull, I went last year For my first ever elk hunt solo and got skunked. But had such a great time. I had tags this year for early season rifle but couldn’t make it due to work. Idaho will always be on my schedule now for hunting. It is great country out there. I recommend everyone to go and give it a shot.

Man that's beautiful country! Congrats on the success. I am planning a trip for April to visit my wife's family and maybe see some real estate out there. Considering making the move out there in the next year or 2. Good luck on you're SD deer!
