shortly after retiring from the Navy, a friend of mine in Florida where i lived, asked me why
didn't i run for a position in the City/State politics. i explained to him that if i was running for
some office, i wouldn't promise people anything, and if i was elected, that's exactly what they
would get. he agreed that it would be a mistake and a waste of money.

Any elected person is a public servant...They make promises, because that's what their constituents want to hear...Few ever keep those promises and pander to a certain voting block.
Hence, why I support Trump (non-politician)...He has done just about everything that he promised...If his fellow Republicans would grow some hair...Our country would be in a better place...Hell, it's in a better place after 8 years of the last guy and the constant assault from the socialist/commies/dems.
ps...Dow over 26,000 despite the hit job on our country & OUR president.
