Well we are loaded not so fast, not so light, and not so simple that’s for sure. Waking up at 3am and getting on the road. Season opens Wednesday and the weather is working out perfect for a great deer hunt. Stay tuned the circus is starting.

Weather is certainly starting up tonight. We have had rain already and snow is coming in a couple hours. Should be great tomorrow afternoon to get that hunt started. Things are looking up!!!
Two tags for mule deer. 15yo and 13yo in the trigger.
A little subway for breakfast in Barstow. Haven’t hit any weather yet. Making good time.
We hunkered down in a hotel in Cedar City last night and woke up to this. The deer hunting for your boys should be amazing.

Friends on their way Home from Beaver UT. area. Never saw one Elk, only one buck. Other hunters they talked too said the same thing. Snow came down pretty hard Sunday night. This was their first Elk hunt so they are a little put out by not seeing any animals. I just told them, lesson learned, better hunts will come along.
All we saw thus far as far as live elk is trophy bulls we can’t shoot and a bunch of deer. Hoping the snow helps is the rest of the week but this has been rough so far.
Were your friends up high in the mountains? Pretty obvious to us from what we’ve seen is the rut is definitely over so we are thinking the cows and spikes moved way down?! No idea really, just hoping.
They camper at 7500 Ft. and went up to 10,000. They did venture lower one morning but, same results.
Gotcha. We’ve been around 8-8500 so far. Like I said, I have no idea where they are, baha
