I came out to Virginia again for another shotgun deer hunt. Also got a little weather yesterday. Nice to sit out in the woods for a few days away from crazy life.
I saw several does and one small forky buck. The forky I saw walked out in front of my about 30 yards in the woods. I could not see what his rack looked like, only saw a little horn from the light shining through the trees. He laid down for about 20 minutes while I waited for him to move. Tons of adrenaline staring at a spot waiting for him to stand back up. When he finally stood up I could see he was not a shooter.
I bagged a doe on day 2 but no bucks this year. There was 2 small bucks and several does taken by everyone at the hunting club while I was here. Till next year...
