2025 ended with a bang in the Sacramento Valley. After over 6" of rain on Oregon and some crazy winds i headed out for the 6 hour drive south. I was astonished by the lack of snow but was not complaining.
Met up with an old friend of 35 years for his first ever hunting trip. Day one was promising but we only managed to bag 3 geese, after knocking the dust off of the scatter guns we finished with 2x snows and 1x speckle belly.
Day 2 the wind picked up and helped bring the geese into shooting range. It was filled with lots of anti-air artillery and we managed to bag 18 geese total. 15x specks 2x snows and 1x ross's goose, freezer is full and we left with smiles on our faces. Couldn't have done it with out the awesome community i have met over the year here on SCH. Stefan is a great guide and goose caller... Already looking forward to Dec 2026!!
