A few weeks ago my brother Dennis and I trailered the 17’ whaler down to Shelter Island and launched for the Coronados. Conditions were decent and we found lots of bird life signaling yellowtail. We managed two 15 lb class models plus assorted bass and bottom fish.

last weekend we fished the Horseshoe up here closer to home for a variety of bass and bottom critters. Highlights were a 27 inch ling cod and a 4 lb cabezon. Had some good meals later.
