a few observations.
it was last titled in 01 so its sat a long long time.
its a belt reduction ch3 century unit. the belt will defiantly need replacing its 250 bucks. if the bearings are good then no worries but the upper bearing is not user serviceable. have to ship it back east to century to have it replaced. Lower bearing you can do if you are not to slow. ( you can do the upper bearings here but you need a oven and a bearing shop that will do it)
the motor looks like it came out of a car. its got car/truck manifolds on it. Airboat motors are like just like boat motors. there are a few things that have to be done or they get very unhappy very fast. once again it sat since 01 guessing from the registration stickers.
the prop is wood, if there is any delamination or damage its junk. Once again it might have sat for a long time and that not ideal. a new two blade prop and hub will run close to 3k for a carbon prop. wood props are not as much around 1k but do not work as well. when i got my boat i had to replace the wood prop, its on my wall now - see below
check the metal work for rust. The motor stand takes a huge amount of stress from the motor and prop and the centrifical forces turning puts on it. good chance they have some rust damage, most motor stands are made of mild steel and tend to rust pretty quick.
this boat will not run dry ground ever. With that setup it could even get stuck in mud. airboats can go almost anyplace you want them but once they reach their limits you get hyper stuck. under powered boats make you feel good in 3inche of water but quickly let you down in no water or just mud. THIS BOAT IS UNDER POWERED
hint.. mine is 600hp
it could be a fun project and i would be happy to give advice on how to make it run and no you cant come to where i go.
