Another good duck hunt down south

Have you tried rubbing a pencil on it? If that doesn't work you can acid etch it or send it to the Bird Banding Lab (they'll send it back).

Thanks for the info. I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to send it in. It makes me think it’s a really old bird to have the other 3 to 4 numbers totally worn off

Very faint numbers on one side of band. Can’t make out a thing on the other side

WOW. That bird must have flown sandstorms for years to get that band so well worn. Very cool.
