my first guess without touching it would be a mushroom of some sort, could also be a marine fossil or plaster imprint. Chalcedony also bubbles up like that and is really pretty inside. Just my 2 centavos...
 
Petrified turkey poop....lol.....I found what appears to be similar rocks (if yours is a rock) in New Mexico turkey hunting.....It's like crystal inside.

Man those are some cool rocks and pottery shards...good ol Land of Enchantment
