I took my daughters deer hunting here on a late season junior hunt and ended up filling my OTC lion tag. On Saturday I spotted a lion and before I could go after it, it moved and I couldn't locate it again. On Sunday I was on a different ridge and walked up to a lion and missed a 75 yard off hand shot. I called in some houndsmen and a short time later the dogs had him bayed up in a rock ledge. No way for a bow or rifle shot. I had to use a snub nose 38, left handed, hanging out over a rock ledge to make the 5 foot shot! 100# tom. One of the best tasting wild game meats out there... We have three days this weekend to fill the deer tags. 20181125_155841.jpg3.jpg6.jpg5.jpg1.jpgEd F

AWESOME JOB>>> Wish this liberal left state would thin some of them out to allow wild game come back....

I hunted California for over 30 years and maybe saw 6 lions in that time. I've lived in Arizona for 3 years and have seen 6 in daylight glassing for deer. I don't know what that means... I get a lot of lion pics on my trail cameras. Ed F

Lots of deer, lots of lions. Congratulations Ed! That is awesome. If you can spare even one bite when I drop off those deer next week I’d love to try it. No pressure haha.

Nicely done. Now for the girls to fill their tags! Look forward to pics of their success!
