BHA is hosting a pint night tonight at Northern Pine Brewing (6pm). I just found out about it now and won't make it, but wanted to pass along.

They also had the following in their email:
"BHA Pendleton AFI Club just completed a habitat project on Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton. Thanks to generous donations from our members and Black Rifle Coffee Company, we purchased and installed four guzzlers in strategic locations around the military installation to replace those that were destroyed by a recent wildfire. We worked in collaboration with the Game Wardens on base to maximize their impact on the local wildlife. These water sources represent the oldest conservation program on Camp Pendleton and will build in resiliency to support birds, small game, ungulates and predators during this drought season."

I wouldn't piss in one of BHA's pint glasses. Do a little research... plenty of info out there. They are not friends with my outdoor passions... Ed F

I agree. Locally they have been doing a few good things though. They did a great job gathering hunters but it was for the wrong reasons.

I've seen a lot of this info over the years and struggle to know what sources are legit and which ones are not. I've heard guys I admire defend them and guys I admire trash them. I certainly do NOT agree with any anti-hunting/fishing/trapping/gun agenda(s), but I do understand merging forces with other groups in certain instances to help keep public lands public. I did attend a local pint night some time pre-covid and was not impressed and have not been back since. It was too bad too, as I have really been looking for a local group to hang with. I also have not been impressed with their organization and leading in CA. It could be that the state is too big for 1 person to over see, or it could be something else. It does seem though that over all, they are not that active in CA as compared to other states... perhaps it's because they don't feel it's necessary with the already liberal direction of the state?????

You may want to try attending a monthly meeting of NWTF San Diego chapter. Pro hunting, active in the community, and politically active towards hunting & fishing. 4th Tuesday of each month in Poway

Thanks for the info, but I’m in Bako (hope that doesn’t get me kicked off the forum!).
