Yes I agree. But this subject has been beat to death. I guess I also took it for granted this was medium to long range glassing. For close up big pines territory
I use light 8X , for short to medium I use 10X, for Medium to long range I started using 16x or 20X-60X spotting scope.
The difference for 10x to 12 isn't much.
If any one all ready has 10X then the next step is 15. Or higher magnification.
My 16x are useable with a tripod
Same as my spotting scope.
