Bobcats home range

While turkey hunting this fall, l was on my way back to the truck and busted a nice bobcat crouched down on the sneak after some ground squirrel, do bobcats stay in a general area
or is it right place right time, also what is the preferred call for a bobcat, any info will be appreciated, this newbie is still trying to get on the board!!

Yes very territorial animal. If you have lots squirrels they will stay there forever.

Bobcats have a fairly small home range.....Females about a square mile and males about 10....Like most predators, males will kick out other males.....Bobcats love ground squirrels, but will eat most any small game and turkeys. In fact, in a study in Pamo Valley of radioed turkeys (17). All but three (toms) died at the claws of bobcats.

Well that place has a big tom see him all the time and the ranch mgr can't shoot it eventhough he's been eating turkeys for awhile

I guess that's him in your picture hard to tell size

The big Tom in pamo valley is the biggest bobcat I've ever seen. I would not be surprised if he was 40lbs.

That cats huge I've seen the monster cat in pamo several times and have photos of him

Both those cats are on MCC property......Pamo is loaded with cats......See if I can find the Pamo cat pix......

I use 223 for the bobs or BB in 3" 12G I Have dropped 1 at 35yards with the BB got a nice one last year with the 223 at 225Yards with a 55G varmit grenade.
