Bummer. I just messed up one of my euro mounts as well.

Honestly, it might look kinda cool cut down almost flat or in a wedge. It does not look too bad the way it is now.

I have done that as well, I have used super glue and/or gorilla glue and then used some touch up white paint to color over the yellow gorilla glue. It will always stay sensitive/brittle to movement though.
