Also should point out that I switched to through the shoulder after my kid put a massive hole right behind the shoulder on a big bore last year and the thing still tried to eat me. Dang pig left me with some great memories. @Morgan1776 can vouch for this one.

Behind the shoulder has always got it done for me but I think dangerous game would warrant a through the shoulder just so as to break them down and alleviate any issues when you approach the downed animal.

My deer this year I put one through the shoulder DRT.. deer before that I put one behind the shoulder DRT.. one before that, heck I forget but it died too. All I know is don't put one over their shoulder or into their ass or you'll kick yourself for awhile.

In Hind sight should have given her more time, i knew the arrow hit higher then I wanted to that’s for sure. Still Haunts Me.
