Now aside from no firearms in Nation parks in Ca. no bear spray. I guess we need to shout, go away bear. Yup that should do it. Now aside from wanting to take away our guns, and make no mistake, they want to take them away, they take the only other decent means of protection from bear attack. Horns not only blow, they suck.

Well at least they’re honest about it. Bear spray is considered a “weapon”, and we all know how the CA leadership feels about weapons. I carry spray mostly due to tweakers and aggressive Karens, with the added plus of having a deterrent for bears and mountain lions. Must leave personal protection to the CA authorities - can’t have ordinary citizens running around with a means of self-defense.

What I don’t understand is how California can ban something on federal land. Could someone please explain

They're probably hoping that it will somehow deter ICE from pepper-spraying protestors. I know it doesn't make any sense, but it wouldn't surprise me if that was a back-door motive.
