California's back at it!

With all due respect gentlemen, I posted the alert from Jeff Derbes because this issue is relevant to hunters. I don't hunt over a dog (yet), but I respect the rights of those who do and I see this as interference by people who don't understand hunting. This is very different from a thread complaining about people exercising their right to free speech and assembly.
I will write in to comment, and I hope everyone will. But I want to check with Fred and Jeff before I do, to make sure I cover the relevant precedents and approach the argument in a way that the DFW can relate to.
Respectfully,
Don

I am not real familiar with this process but from what I see on the DFG website it looks like it is advancing though the steps. Hopefully it doesn't get adopted but I'm not sure what the odds are either way.

So I would kindly ask everyone who cares about your hunting rights and traditions to send an email to [email protected] to voice your concern. Thanks in advance.

There is an excellent letter being circulated by Larry Brennan of the San Diego Wildlife Federation that may be helpful for anyone interested in writing to DFW before the hearing.

I would be interested in it, could you post a link to it?

Here is Larry's letter.

Thanks for posting that letter, well written and touches on some great points and arguments. I have written mine and sent it in already.
I just get the feeling that it's not looking good for us. Hopefully I am wrong, I guess we will know here pretty soon.
