Locked into a great spot in the valley to hunt waterfowl this year - cant wait. I usually hunt Cibola and along the river in that area but the new area I am going to hunt is an hour closer to the house. Not great for geese but the duck hunting looks to be pretty good.

Any of you folks like hunting ducks and geese?

John

I'm not very savy on the duck hunting, but I do spend alot of time on the river durring the summer months and always wondered about the duck hunting down there.Do you hunt on the water or the fields at cibola?

What club did you join in the valley?

We hunt both. But the fields at Cibola have not been very good since the early 2000's. We had some awesome hunts on the farm unit in the past though.

Not sure what the club name is but it's fairly close to the Hazard Unit.

Ummmmmm falling feathers? Is there a rule here about saying a clubs name?

Nope no rules and yes that is the name of the club. I just did not remember what the clubs' formal name was.

The pacific flyway should have another great hatch this year. Lots of goslings on the ground too.

Welcome to the club John :) it's my second year with Bryant at FF. I'm sure you will be happy it's a fun place. I shoot it on the off weekends when I'm not down in Mexico.

Thanks a bunch Mud! I am excited about the whole thing...so is my dog! We should get together sometime soon, I would like to meet you. You and I have had conversations on "BD". I am on their forum - "Quick Luck".

I start getting itchy for duck/goose season when I see all the mated pairs flying around the hood in March/April!

It's tough hunting the opener in 100 degree weather, but come Thanksgiving....it's on!!

Not to itchy yet. Need to finish the airboat rebuild and I'm going to build a couple of hybrids.

Mud,

You should post a few pics of your air-boat or of your air-boat projects. Those things are awesome.

Yea I totally agree with John post some pictures of the pre and post project....

Almost done.....I'll post up some pics after this weekend. Have fun at falling feathers opening weekend. I'll be down killing pheasants in mx.

Hey Mud, Have you been out for deer this season? See anything?

Been working nights 6 days a week and it's put a crimp on my deer hunting. Still only getting doe's on my cams, kinda figured the bucks would be on them shortly.

I'm glad the la county either sex season goes long :) this night work crap should be over soon

You ready to go duck hunt? I'll drag ya to falling feathers one day this season if ya like

I think that would be cool. I've never been to a real duck club before. I use to go to Wister all the time when I was a kid. Lots of spoony and rudy with a pintail now and then but that was 20 years ago .

Nbk you going to help out with the wounded warrior hunt on dec 10.
Still need guys willing to escort hunters and hook up the escorted hunter with a shotgun.
