Has anyone went deer huning in D12 before and actually got a Deer? Just wondering. I was thinking about going here but im thinking of going to D-16 Since this will be my first deer hunting. I more leaning towards D-16 since its kind of closer to me.

Did you already draw for D-12?......Assuming you haven't. Those tags are a special draw and are sold out........Despite knowing guys that have gotten D-12 bucks. It's an extremely hard hunt.

D-16 would be your better choice anyway.......Lots of places to hunt. And if you do a little home work. You can hunt areas where there's little pressure.

These pics are of D-12.

D12 has some big bucks, if your just hiking its a bit harder as its huge country, quads make it a lot easier.

It is also a zone that has a lot of hunters. There are some nooks and cranny's though. Big deer to those who understand how to hunt it.

Here are some D-12 bucks.......These are Steve Dickerson's (Dickerson's Towing in Westmoreland)......He's one of those guys that's hunted D-12 religiously........In the clique, so to speak.......lol

I have hunted it in the past and you need a Jeep or ATV for that place. There are lots of kooks that hunt it now for sure!
