Was on the mountain this morning around 6:00. Sigalert had a doe tag so I was confident we would be packing out today.

Early on we spotted a doe but she was a bit too far. We continued to watch her when I heard branches breaking and when we looked up we saw a spike coming over the hill like a tank.
Juveniles. Lol!

We relocated to a new spot where I always see doe and sat for a second when a buck came over the hill.
150 yards( no brainier) I missed twice before I hit him in the neck.

Forgot to mention on the hike up I ate it big time and fell on my rifle pretty hard.
Was about 10" high and 8" to the right.
Took the first two shots to figure out before I compensated.

Was a fun hunt. Thanks for helping me pack it out Kyle.

Awsome to watch you adjust the Kentucky windage and he was DRT.
That spike was after that doe like it was the best one nite stand he ever had,crazy. Nice job on double opener
