D16 tag punched- My first deer! *Rookie report*

This is my proudest moment as a hunter. Very thankful for my good fortune.

It happened on Thursday, in the wind. After a 9.0 miles of hiking I found myself in position on a small group of deer. He was with at least two does, and one other buck of similar frame.

Sharing this moment and harvest with my family has been the ultimate reward.

Stay motivated! It’s possible. Even for a rookie.
