Deer species

I think we get lumped in with Mule deer when it comes to B&C and there is only one archery record book that puts us in our own Pacific Hybrid category cant remember who. But we have our own unique Pacific Hybrid/black tail species which is smaller than a mule deer.

I think that is California Bowmen Hunters, CBH. But P&Y might do it as well, not sure.

Southern Muledeer. It's 1 of 8 subspecies of the muledeer and they are recognized as a muledeer in Boone and Crockett , Pope and Young, and SCI record books. Only the CBH record book recognizes them as the Pacific Hybrid.
