I have been in the SD area for a couple of years and getting ready to transfer, but wanted to get a good dove shoot in before I leave. I am not asking for your secret spots, but need general advice and rules on hunting the El Centro area. If the land isn't posted is it clear to hunt or is there a website I can see where and where not I can hunt.
Best of luck and beads on the beak.

General rule of thumb in the IV...If it's not posted, fenced, your not within a 150 yds of a occupied dwelling, out building, barn, within 50 yds of a NAMED road, your pretty good to go.

Pheasant hunting would include rowed crops, specialty crops, or fields that have a hot wire fence (sheep or cattle)...Feed lots and grain processers, you would need permission...If you hunt a state wildlife area, you must sign in...You can NOT hunt inside a national wildlife refuge (Sonny Bono)...Look for wildlands near ag property.

Good luck
