El cap had very good spawn

I fished there Friday 8/21 and today , both days 20 plus fish , but there small. Chasing shad, lots of fun, just not the quality.
Nothing picture worthy.
Hard jerk bait was the man.

You're catching the 3-5 month old fingerlings?

6"-10" fish, chasing shad. mixed in with 2-3 lb fish. lots of bait in the water temp 84 degrees.
the lake is up , looks to be doing well , by all the small fish.

Fished there last Sunday...Lots of those little guys...Best fish came from the main body of the lake.

The El Cap seems very healthy....Hodges on the other hand seems like it's on a downward spiral....Bigger fish, but the water quality and level continues to drop..
