Lots of quail kicking around out there this weekend, picked up 7 total(should have more but we had a big group with a lot going on). Contemplating having a mount made of an almost perfect pair I picked up from the same covey...got them bundled up in the freezer. My 6 month old wirehaired griff did as good as I could ask for considering his age...you can tell these dogs are made for this. We only shot one pheasant,because we only saw one pheasant! :'( I was a bit too far away to get shots off on about 20 mallards half my group kicked up out of a random canal, they downed three. I also downed 4 mourning as the sun was setting...
