This what we rifle reloaders do. We look for the ultimate load. It is an endless road but one worth going down.

Just finalized the .280 Ackley load for my everything lightweight rifle. The load checks all of the boxes.

280 Ackley
169 Hammer Hunters
Velocity = 2835
SD = 4.6

100 yard 3 shot group measures 0.156"

300 yard 3 shot group measures .616"

Just sent off for the "CDS" dial to finish the rifle.

You must have been a bird hunter back then. Sounds like you used a splatter gun. If you would have been a big game hunter with an accurate rifle. That wouldn’t have happened.

Pretty sure I am gonna go 155HH in AK instead of the 175EH. Still haven’t made up my mind. I watched 5 animals die with the hammers last year, when put in the right spot the animals literally get hammered. I am also kicking around the 168 LRX but not sure if that monster is gonna fit.
