Since I'm completely new to Turkey hunting where's the best place to gear up, vest and camo, on a near negative budget? I haven't had any luck finding used gear in my usual haunts.

Wal-Mart on line has a lot of deals and many times the best prices.....Turkey gear....https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=4&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiTtOOF19jSAhVqz1QKHTG0De8QFghhMAM&url=https://www.walmart.com/browse/turkey-hunting-gear/c2hlbGZfaWQ6MjM3Nwieie&usg=AFQjCNFUJsN9pEINQllE-U5e5A6lyyFWzw&sig2=xzShv84E7VHcjfuRqVPYFw&bvm=bv.149397726,d.cGw

A couple of suggestions.....Buy a camo upland vest.....It can obviously be used for dove, quail, pheasant, etc.....It can also be used as your turkey vest.....http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sports-Afie...197869?hash=item43ff4f546d:g:a8kAAOSwTuJYvCTY

Cabela's right now has their turkey loungers on sale for 15 bucks.....Great price.....http://www.cabelas.com/product/CABELAS-HUNTING-LOUNGER/2479039.uts?

Check out a swap meet.....Stadium cushions can be bought for a couple of bucks, if you don't have one (you'll want to upgrade this at some point).

Calls.....I just picked up 3 HS Strut Field Champion box calls on e-bay......$12.50 each.....Plenty of other deals on slates & diaphragms too.....http://www.ebay.com/itm/HS-Strut-Fi...507821?hash=item3f753772ed:g:NVIAAOSw5cNYmlRa

Camo.....Any camo will work, but if you want one size fits all suit.....Check out ghillie suits on e-bay.....I got a full suit for under 20 bucks (they run small).....You can use it for any kind of hunting & you wear regular cloths underneath....http://www.ebay.com/itm/Leaf-Ghilli...939279?hash=item236ba6a74f:g:M50AAOSwdzVXwrS~

Camo facemask & gloves.....Again, e-bay, Wal-Mart, Academy Sports, Cabela's, and others all have clearance sections.....Always check these 1st.....You can always use face paint as well.

Hope this helps a little.

Our local Wal-Marts are pretty bad for hunting gear.....Shop Wal-Mart on line like I stated.

ps.......What Wal-Mart did you try?.....Los Coches Wal-Mart in El Cajon has tons of camo stuff.

X2. For dove season, Santee Walmart had Mojos, bucket seats, vests, etc. But I was there today and they have nothing for the deer or turkey seasons. So it's hit or miss.. mostly a miss actually. Buy your gear online.

Yeah usually Temecula Wallys has it all but not today. Online it is

try some of the local thrift stores, it's hit or miss but when they do have something it's sometimes like new and it's cheap. my brother one time scored on gortex. usually they have good jackets. boots I always buy new, pants at Walmart are usually the cheapest .
