Hope everyone is having a great season! It’s been a while since any of the GTeam has posted on here but want to say we’re still hitting the hills.
We’ve got Anthony and Albert keeping busy with Forest Service as Wildland Firefighters this season and getting out to hunt between breaks.
Timothy getting out after his college courses and the younger boys Adam and Joaquin busy with middle and high school.
Gil and I are still making time to get out for the hunts and mixing some fishing in any chance we get!
We’ve been very blessed with hunting success this year on the outings we’ve made. Things started off with Gil and a great buck out of D-11 during the archery season followed by Anthony taking an awesome buck the following day with his bow. Next was Adam taking his first buck ever that his dad Gil got him on. Adam’s great fortune continued when Anthony took him out for a late afternoon hunt when he filled his second tag with archery gear on a nice fork.
Timothy had a great solo outing taking a nice buck on his own on a day he had a break from class. I was glad to be able to get out and help him pack that deer out when I got the call!
Not long after that Timothy and Anthony got out again when Anthony was able to connect and fill his second tag with a neat buck.
Alberts been real busy only getting out a couple of times but still making it happen, filling his A31 tag with a doe.
Gil and I made a few trips to D9 where we put lots of miles on the boots and passed on one buck a few weeks back only to get back out this past weekend the last weekend of the season finding that buck again I decided to take him and close out that season, he’s no giant but a great trophy in my eyes with the effort and energy it took to get that deer! Joaquin and I still have D11 tags so we’ll try and get out and hopefully post a bit more in the near future! Happy hunting everyone and may you all be blessed with awesome memories. Good luck out there!
