Well this morning the Gteam (my dad, brother, godfather and I) set out for our regular archery spot. We got to our destination, got our gear and began hiking up a game trail, light was bearly peaking over the ridge tops. We did'nt get 60 yards when I spotted a buck chasing a doe. He was pushing the doe away from us but at a very slow pace. So I began the stalk while the rest of the Gteam watched from where I first spotted the buck. I got within 45 yards of the buck and drew back... the buck and doe did'nt know I was there so I kept on moving my way up to them. Finnaly the buck saw me when I was 30 yards away but because the doe was'nt moving neither was he. I took about five more steps and ranged him at 25;26 yards.. I drew back, put my pin on him and let my arrow fly, as soon as the arrow penetrated the buck the cabelas expandable broadhead did its job and blood started pouring out of him. The buck took off and ran about 40 yards uphill and then came rolling down. The arrow ripped both lungs and clipped the top edge of the heart. My hunt ended at about 7:30, I thought it was crazy... it all happened so fast, WOOOHOOOOO!
