I'm certain most of you have read the news that San Jose is going to require gun owners to carry liability insurance. On top of that they are going to impose a , yet to be determined annual tax on all the cities gun owners. If the new laws are not followed they will confiscate the firearms of those who are in violation of the new city. The next step will be this will be state wide in the near future. One law at a time, until they actually make it impossible to have a firearm in Ca. Just as I have saying for years and years.

The government was in violation of the constitution when they shut down places of worship and denied people the right to make a living using covid as an excuse to do so. And like good sheepole we went along with it. The Government can do what they want, they are not held accountable. For those who say that's not right, why are those people still in position of power.

I'll bet anyone even money that this will be tossed out by the lowest court and all other courts on the way up and then get shot down in flames when it gets to the Supremes. It is punitive, clearly, and specifically directed at law abiding citizens who are in full compliance with the US and CA Constitutions. The rationale, I suppose, is that firearms cause a certain amount of monetary damage to San Jose, therefore the tax is to compensate for that damage. But it's not law abiding citizens who cause the damage, it's crooks---scum, lowlife, worthless bastards. But you can't tax them, so hit the lawful gunowners. What about opioids? Bet they cause San Jose 50 times more than firearm violations, so why not tax all the people who lawfully have opioid prescriptions? And do you know how many houses burn down because of problems with fireplaces? We need a fireplace tax. And what about all the pollutants in human flatulence? Can you imagine the monetary damage that unregulated flatulence creates, considering there are 7,000,000,000 souls on this planet? And if they pass gas as often as I do [average for me over past 30 days is 873 times per day], what a terrible expense San Jose must bear!! But Doc to the rescue---San Jose needs a fart tax. Think I'll contact the mayor of San Jose and see if we can get the fart tax on the ballot this November.

You are dead on about opioids, but being San Jose is a liberal city in a liberal state that is overlooked.

Let's not lose sight of the most sideways post this site has ever seen. I would invite others that have not viewed it to view it and revel in its craziness and enjoy...

It is ironic that the term "liberal," as it relates to politics, used to mean someone who was in favor of "anything goes," few rules and regulations and let people do whatever they want to do. That sure isn't the case today.

First and foremost we don't have a government anymore either state or federal. As long as people keep breeding they will only produce more "Democrats". You might as well swallow your horse pill of truth now. They are here to stay and will keep stripping the rights away from people. Guns and religion are the 2 top priorities. Gas tax increasing in California each year and the money is "NOT" going to fix road infrastructure. The "RECALL" of Gov. Nuisances will not happen in September and we all know it. So, standby for more BS. I haven't seen a single "Republican" lift a finger to change anything.

No one wants to "lift a finger," because it would take ultimate commitment.....and no one is willing to go there yet.
