HELP DEFEAT ANOTHER GUN LAW

You are the speed bump. Move or get crushed.

I’m starting to think CA is a mental disease. Should I write it in crayon?

You are not winning at all (Swans)
Accept the fact you lost.
Regroup where you can do some good.

Stockholm syndrome is a real thing.

Oh so sad I have to respond once again....

I never said it was about my 'feelings'.

You said to keep telling myself I was making a difference. and I said Thx and it feels great.

Why? It's because I feel GREAT about making a difference. It's called taking action. You are too stuck in some opinion, that while you are entitled to it, you are not at all understanding the ACTIONS that we are taking here DO matter. Maybe not to your liking. But they are to us.

I have personally gone to the capital and helped lobby assembly members on issues that affect us duck hunters, and to help open their eyes to how CWA , hunters and others make a difference on the landscape. And yes, I have talked to those with a different political bent than myself. Its quite enjoyable to do so, kind of a kick to 'argue', and in some cases, find common ground, It can be done if you come in with facts, and not just opinions.

I have been blessed to have the time do thaT, as well as other 'actions'. I have been gratified when hunters here are asked to help out, maybe make a call or write a letter, or sign on to Action alerts etc. , that they gladly help out.

I honestly hate having to come on here and respond to someone that has a closed mind, and can't just give his opinion without making cracks about those that are trying to improve our situation. The sky is falling...Oh my! I LISTED examples of wins, but you chose to belittle the fact that I mentioned hunting Swans as just one of those wins. As I said, ID requires tages to do so. CA doesn't. But hey!! We get to now, when we never did before.

Who do you think was instrumental in getting a 3 Pintail limit? It was conservation groups (HUNTERS) taking Action. CWA was a front runner in the development of the data that go us to this point. And getting the USFWS to make the change. Hunters involvement and Action to get the data and create the modeling to prove 3 was doable is what made the difference. Letters and calls, meetings...for years. Finally paid off. Yeah team, eh?

It's great to moved to ID, and it's Great you enjoy all the benefits of living there. Good for you.

But, there are those of us that like where we live. We might despise the politics here, but we have full and rich lives, hunt waterfowl, fish, enjoy the mountains and the oceans. There is a lot to enjoy, as there is in ID.

Go out and enjoy what you have, and we'll do the same.

Hunting is important. But, it is distant second to our gun rights. Since you seem to be confused about priorities, let me remind you of the topic at hand that you started.

HELP DEFEAT ANOTHER GUN LAW

Swans and pintails don’t mean squat if you are a disarmed slave in a communist state.

I now know why serious 2A people refer to hunters as FUDS.

You just don’t get it. Please stay in Hellifornia. Losing is a way of life for you.

P.S. The sky isn’t falling in CA. It already fell. They have been feeding you crap for so long you think it is chocolate pudding and can’t see it.

a quick search:

Several major California gun laws have been overturned or struck down in recent years, though many remain tied up in ongoing legal appeals. Federal courts have repeatedly found key pieces of the state’s strict firearm regulations unconstitutional, citing the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark 2022 decision in NYSRPA v. Bruen.
The overturned laws include:
  • Open Carry Ban (2026): A divided panel of the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals struck down California's prohibition on openly carrying firearms in public for counties with populations over 200,000. The court ruled that this ban, which affected roughly 95% of the state's population, violated the Second Amendment. [1, 2]
  • Ammunition Background Checks (2025): A federal court blocked the state's requirement for instant background checks and fees for purchasing ammunition, ruling it unconstitutional under current Supreme Court standards.
  • Assault Weapons Ban (2023 / 2021): U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez has repeatedly struck down California’s long-standing ban on assault weapons (such as AR-15s), calling it a violation of the constitutional right to bear arms.
  • Large-Capacity Magazine Ban (2023): A federal judge ruled that the state cannot prevent gun owners from owning detachable magazines that hold more than 10 rounds.
  • One-Gun-Per-Month Limit (2024): A federal judge struck down the state's restriction limiting law-abiding citizens to buying only one handgun or firearm a month, prompting the state to pass new limit frameworks. [1, 2]
Important Caveat: Many of these decisions are immediately appealed by the California Attorney General's Office. When the state appeals and requests "stays," the enforcement of these rulings is often temporarily halted while the higher courts review the cases.

THUS, Our need to continue to take action in CA, and pursue these issues to the highest courts. It took our Actions to get here. And it will be our actions and follow up to ensure our 2nd amendment rights are finally restored.

Take care Dave.

Several court cases in the pipeline regarding that 11% tax and others.

Here is one current video explaining.

It’s a slog to get things done, but happy there are several orgs and people still fighting the fight.

PS: google “ bruen decision “ to see the latest on several laws and efforts still underway. ( fight, fight, fight)

There are several 2nd amendment court cases going on, some have been going on for TEN years,, I didn't stutter, TEN years. Most of us will be dust when and if they ever get settled. I follow Hammond and Copper Jacket TV. Both interesting and frustrating.

Take care Dave.

All of these things have been reversed in the state that hates you.

Still not winning. But, swans.

Can you buy standard capacity mags? Nope.
Can you carry openly in Los Angeles? Nope.
Can you buy a real AR15? Nope?
Can you buy ammo through the mail? Nope.

Heck, you can’t even buy plastic sights or a plastic grip for your gun through the mail.

Should I go on?

I can carry any gun I want open or concealed without a permission slip. I can buy ammo at the gas station for crying out loud. We have State sponsored shooting ranges I can use for free. I can buy multiple AR15s if I want and walk out with them in 20 minutes. High cap mags are everywhere. Walmart sells guns here. That used to be a thing in Lucifornia.

But, swans.

The original point was to request others to help fight for our rights.

I’m sorry you can’t just agree with that.

You asked, should you go on.?

I really don’t care what you do. Doesn’t affect me one bit.

I hope others here can read through it all and support the efforts.
