Not sure how good this stuff is since I don't know a whole lot about turkey hunting yet, but Bass Pro has some Hevi-shot (Hevi-13) Turkey Loads on sale for $4.88 per box! I bought some 12GA, 2-3/4", 1-1/2 OZ, #5 and #6. I think this stuff is normally in the $25+ range, but I do not see it on the Hevi-shot website so maybe it is being phased out. They had a decent supply and also had some #4 and #7 and also 20ga.

I already have some of the magnum blend stuff, but for so cheap I figured I would try it out and see how it patterns. Just a heads up!

Good find....I think they've had this sale for quite some time (I bought some 20's a year ago)....In fact, they had 3" & 3 1/2" Hevi 13's on the cheap at one time....Pretty good stuff....If they're close enough, that 2 3/4" load will be fine.

The only problem I have with not buying the best is you may only get 1 opportunity a season....Why not shoot the best?....Your Hevi-Shot Blends is much superior IMO.

Totally agree with your reasoning. The blend will be loaded come turkey season. The boxes were a little beat up so maybe they have been trying to hock this stuff for awhile. Lol

Yep....I used to carry a couple 2 3/4" lead loads with me....Rattle snakes or finishing a bird off at close range is better than whacking them with a 8 dollar shell....lol
