I am a bit late getting this up but the Christmas break had things crazy over here and i had some trouble with one of my cameras. So here GOES!
On Dec 12 We had this years hunt at http://campodecazadores.com/ and what a amazing difference a year has made. The Club that is near the salton sea is Great Shape! We had 13 hero's come out this year and like always i am not sure who had more fun the Warriors or the club members.
Friday night we had all the guys come out for Dinner and time around the camp fire. The Deer fryer was in action with catfish and hush puppies and plenty to drink the BS was flowing pretty fast. We gave out the gear that night and our sponsors really stepped up this year. As i have said a million times HEVI-SHOT is a great freaking company! From day one they have back us and this year was no exception.
New this year to the hunt was Drake Water Fowl http://www.drakewaterfowl.com/ They were huge this year. All the Warriors went home wearing state of the art duck gear. From jackets,shirts and hats they were hunting in high style! thank you again to drake and i hope we can continue with you guys for years to come.
another New sponsor this year was Echo Calls http://www.echocalls.com/ thank you for the Great Calls! you could hear the hunters all over the club calling away as ducks would circle.
Bass pro shops http://www.basspro.com/ was big again this year as well and i can not thank the Rancho store and their manager Bob Minor enough. Thank you again for your loyal support.
Bloody decks http://www.bdoutdoors.com/ kicked in some swag this year as well. the boys looked good later in the day in the tshirts! thank you to Ali and Jason.

Ok so the hunting report! with crazy hard wind and weather on Friday we were expecting some good shooting on Sat. We were greeted to dead calm winds and slow shooting, GO Figure! The guys hung in there and even at lunch time they would not sit around. They all wanted back in the blinds to keep duck hunting. By mid day we had only one blind with limits but almost everyone had at least a few birds in the bag. Was fun listing to the guys shoot with no worry about running out of ammo! Was a dangerous time to be a duck over the club for sure, even at altitude the 3" #3 hevi steel would fold them up!. All together it was a fair day of hunting with 3 limits and many 3 and 4 bird strings to show for the effort. many friendships were forged and a few of the guys i know are already going back to hunt as guests of the club members. For me that is what its all about, making friends and spending a day hunting ducks. We do not do a lot of photos or video of the hunt and i know that might hurt getting more sponsors but this hunt is not about promotion of the guys that come out. I am proud to say i hunted with all of you that came out this year and i look forward to next year!
