Bloodlover and I went out to lake Morena on sunday. We got there a little late, but across the boat dock we were able to spot and motor up within 100 yards of a herd of deer, 6+ does with a fawn maybe two weeks old or so. And one good looking 2x1 in full velvet. The deer looked healthy and clean which was nice being there isn't much water around. The fiahing was a little slow bring that there were hundreds of oversized goldfish (carp) jumping on the surface. But bloodlover, won the day with a nice catfish he caught on a dropshot rig. not a lot of fish caught but it's always nice being outdoors.

haven't been there in awhile but lake Skinner also has a small herd of deer there. You mostly see them on the south side of the lake when they come to drink.
