Any recommendations on good Hunting shoes and pants? Have a D11 Tag and a bear tag. Plan on backpacking in and out.

Prana Zion Pants you will not regret the purchase.

Boots Scarpa, Kenetrek, Schnees, Lowa. Don’t go cheap on your boots. I am using 8” tall synthetic Scarpa from Kuiu and I like them. I use non insulated boots for pretty much everything unless it will below freezing all day every day.

Herson,

Welcome to SCH...I'm the cheap guy on the block...I wear brown or green Dickie's work pants...Pretty bullet proof and 25 bucks at Wally World (Jacob in pic).

I suggest going to Bass Pro Shop/Cabela's and trying on a bunch of different boots...I like Kenetrek in the hiking boot style...I just bought a pair of Cabela's Gore-Tex, Vibram soled, sized 14 boots on sale...Fit great and 10" tall...I also like Rocky boots.

Only Crispi boots for me. And for Southern California, I like the Kuiu's "Tiberon" series pants work best in warm weather. Otherwise the "Attack pants".

Welcome to SCH @Herson.

I run Schnee's beartooth II (non-insolated). Pair it with good light weight merino wool socks (darn tough). For pants I've run various light weight sikta and first lite, but any light weight technical pant with a good merino base layer will do a great job.

Don't get to caught up with the pants though, I use to run jeans and layer sweat pants over them when it was below freezing and was still successful. Boots are more important because bad feet will kill you hunt.

I thought you were going to say duratrac's

I have used under armor boots for 2 elk hunting trips in Wyoming and Colorado I was really surprised on how well the worked out for me. They both performed really well. One was the ridge reaper and the ones I used last year are I. This pic.

I would strongly suggest that you go to Bass pro if its close enough so you can try them on. I researched for weeks and was set on a pair of boots. I went to Bass Pro and they just did not fit me well. I ended up getting a pair of boots that were not even on my radar. I ended up with the Danner ALSEA boots and am very happy with them.

I got Redhead snake boots a couple years ago and they’ve been comfortable through two seasons of scouting and hunting deer in SoCal. I just picked up Danner Vitals, they worked pretty well for my dad last season, so I decided I would try them out. They fit good but I have yet to take them to the mountains.

I have been walking in wolverine boots for 8 years now . Brand new out of the box they feel broke in already . How ever I did fall in love with a certain lug pattern that they do not produce any more . I never lost my footing when out in the field and they never leaked . Some boots I have used have a real bad sole design , I have one pair in moth balls for 10 years now (169$ ) , they are new , but I slip and fall with that pair of boots , on every hunting trip I used them on.. Now today looking for new boots I noticed a new lug pattern on wolverine boots . I know the boots are great fitting , but I 'm hesitant about the new tread pattern . I may have to give them a try . D-11 is up or down country , get high top boots , with a aggressive sole . I would hit bass pro shops. Buy the best fitting boot !

I am a cheapo too...I used to just get whatever was on sale at big 5 and felt decent. Mind you, most of my action was upland. Now my feet are all jacked up! (I used to run for exercise as well and that didn't help my feet either.) I finally got some Danner vitals three years ago and have been very happy with them! They are the best boot I have ever had! Although, I guess that isn't saying very much...
