Saw tons of ducks Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday I sat alone and couldn't hit a thing. Saw a few thousand all day only killed 2 buffle heads a drake and hen. Only fired one shot to kill both. Thursday my buddies skipped school and slayed with me. 15 ducks total for the group and lost 4 more. all mallards except one juvenile pintail that I killed. Froze my butt of too in the 20 degree weather definitely not California weather.

20 degrees! Damn I'd be wearing shorts compared to our negetive temps this week.

Sounds like you got a good push of mallards. Buffies always seem to be on a death mission. Many times they decoy so close I feel like they just want a good ol' belly rub.

Better picture with the pile and the buffle heads turns out there's also a widgeon in the pile it looks like.
