Thanks Wheels. I interpret that to mean you can carry a firearm through the rec area but not discharge it inside the boundary. That's what I've been doing to get to the areas I've been hunting in the Laguna Mtn area, because I can't get to some areas from the road without walking through the rec area. That's why I have CNF, BLM and GPS with the California chip, to make sure I know I'm legal when I hunt... On the other hand, come to think of it, I haven't had any reason to discharge it outside the Rec Area either ;D
